Hey everyone, I recently got a a Black+Decker manual staple gun for some home projects, and I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to load the staples properly. The instructions aren't super clear, and I don't want to damage anything. Has anyone used one of these before and can offer some guidance on the correct way to load it? A step-by-step explanation or even a quick video link would be incredibly helpful! Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey there! I totally get how frustrating unclear instructions can be, especially with a new tool. I've used a Black+Decker manual staple gun before, and loading them can be a bit fiddly the first time. Here’s a general step-by-step for how most Black+Decker manual staple guns load from the bottom: 1. **Unplug/Safety First (if applicable):** While manual, always good practice to ensure nothing is jammed. 2. **Locate the Pusher Rod:** Flip the staple gun over. You should see a small button or lever at the very back of the staple gun, near the handle. This is usually what releases the pusher rod. 3. **Release the Pusher Rod:** Press that button or pull the lever. This will allow the spring-loaded pusher rod to slide out from the back of the gun. 4. **Insert Staples:** With the pusher rod fully extended (or removed, depending on the model), insert a strip of staples into the channel with the staple "legs" pointing downwards. Make sure they fit snugly. 5. **Reinsert/Push in the Rod:** Slide the pusher rod back into the channel behind the staples until it locks into place. You should hear a click. 6. **Test:** Give it a few test fires on a scrap piece of wood or cardboard to make sure they're feeding correctly. A common mistake is trying to force the staples in or not fully releasing the pusher rod. Also, make sure you're using the correct staple size for your model! Hope this helps you out! Let me know if your model looks different or if you run into any other snags.
