Pros
  • Exceptional reliability — thousands of rounds without malfunction reported by users
  • Full-size G17 grip offers outstanding control and 17+1 round capacity
  • Compact G19 slide aids maneuverability and reduces muzzle flip
  • Gen5 GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) delivers improved accuracy
  • Flared magwell enables faster, more reliable magazine changes
  • nDLC finish provides superior corrosion and scratch resistance
  • Ambidextrous slide stop and reversible magazine catch for left-handed shooters
  • Extensive aftermarket ecosystem — sights, triggers, lights, holsters
  • Modular beavertail backstrap system fits a wide range of hand sizes
  • Compatible with G19 holsters for broad carry options
  • Crossover design delivers G17 barrel length and sight radius with G19 grip concealability and 15-round capacity
  • Gen 6 ORS optic system mounts red dots lower than previous MOS plates for better dot-to-eye alignment
  • Three optics plates included in box (RMR, DeltaPoint Pro/Shield/Holosun K, C-More) — optics-ready out of the box
  • RTF6 grip texture covers more surface area including thumb rests for superior grip in wet or dirty conditions
  • Gen 6 flat-face trigger offers slightly shorter trigger reach and improved leverage over previous generations
  • Enlarged beavertail enables a higher, more secure grip and reduces slide bite
  • Palm swells and undercut trigger guard improve fit for a wide range of hand sizes
  • Ambidextrous gas pedal thumb rests aid recoil management — previously required aftermarket installation
  • Durable nDLC finish for excellent corrosion and scratch resistance
  • Compatible with most Gen 5 holsters and all legacy G19 9mm magazines

Cons
  • Full-size grip makes it harder to conceal than the G19 or Slimline models
  • Available only in 9mm — no caliber options
  • Standard factory sights are basic; most users upgrade to night sights or a red dot
  • No manual safety — relies entirely on the Safe Action® System
  • Higher price point compared to some similarly sized competitors
  • Polymer frame may not appeal to those preferring metal-framed pistols
  • Currently available for international markets only — U.S. availability not confirmed at launch
  • G17-length slide makes it larger and slightly harder to conceal IWB than a standard G19
  • Gen 6 frame uses new proprietary parts — not fully backward compatible with Gen 1–4 internals
  • Standard factory sights are basic; most users will upgrade to night sights or a red dot
  • ORS direct-mount footprints limited to RMR, DeltaPoint Pro/Holosun K, and C-More at launch — other optics may need adapter plates
  • Gen 5 Kydex holsters may need retention adjustment due to new enlarged slide stop and integrated beavertail

Best For
  • Law enforcement and duty carry
  • Home defense — high capacity and full-size grip for better control
  • Competitive shooting and range use
  • Shooters with larger hands who find the G19 grip too short
  • Those transitioning from the G17 who want a more maneuverable slide
  • Shooters who want the longer barrel and sight radius of the G17 with the concealability of the G19 grip
  • Optics-forward carry — the ORS system is purpose-built for red dot equipped everyday carry
  • Law enforcement and duty use where a longer sight radius and 15-round capacity are priorities
  • Competition shooters wanting a crossover pistol with factory optics mounting and ergonomic upgrades
  • Glock enthusiasts and international buyers seeking the latest Gen 6 platform
